Endocrinology
Hormone healthcare
An endocrinologist is a specialist doctor who provides healthcare to people with a range of health conditions related to hormones and the glands that make them.
Hormones regulate metabolism, respiration, growth, reproduction, sensory perception, and movement. All systems of the body are supported by hormones and therefore can be affected if hormones levels are not optimal.

Endocrinologists diagnose, treat and manage illnesses that arise when hormones are deficient (eg. hypothyroidism) or in excess (eg. hyperthyroidism). We also manage tumours that occur in endocrine glands (eg. thyroid cancer).
